Today is Set Apart one of the most blessing filled events I get to be part of. Northwestern College (NWC) hosts the Set Apart Women's Conference every spring during Spring Break (while students are gone). As the ticket lady I get to have a front row seat to the amazing things God does during the conference.
Today I was able to give a gift basket away to a woman named Wendy. She was so excited! Recently becoming unemployed she was not sure if she would be able to attend Set Apart but she WON tickets! We decided to spoil her a little and give her a gift basket of goodies (journal, t-shirt, mug, etc)
My most exciting moment (which has a long, crazy, unbelievable story behind it that I will not type out at this time) of the day was when our friend Dawn came! She had tears in her eyes as she walked up to the Ticket Office and I handed her the ticket (she just lost her job and spends all of her money of her kids food, and mortgage). Then I gave her a journal that we set aside just for her and told her the story of how we had the journals. She gave me a hug huge with tears in her eyes, joy in her heart, and her "spiritual gas tank" starting to hit the FULL line, my heart was filled with apprecation and joy of God's work. Moments like this make the annoying, crazy, frustrating, ironic, confusing, long hours of working a Box Office worth while. Seeing the excitement in women's eyes as they start to see a little more of God's character...helps me realize God still has work to do in me and through me. I need to get out of the way and stop putting up a fight.
I am hitting my sleep deprived moments...or afternoon drull but I shall persevere through a concert tonight and another day of the conference tomorrow.

What has given you hope today?
